A Little Behind the Scenes at ASTRIII

A Little Behind the Scenes at ASTRIII

If you've noticed things have been a little quieter over the last couple of weeks, there's a good reason for it.

We've been heads down working on the foundations of ASTRIII.

Rather than constantly posting updates, we've been focusing on improving the experience for new businesses joining the platform. That has meant refining our marketing, improving the sign-up journey, simplifying parts of the workspace, and weaving new features into our existing templates before they're ready to be released.

Sometimes the most important work isn't the most visible.

Running a Startup Isn't Always Glamorous

I'll be honest.

Yesterday, by around 11am, I was completely done.

The laptop closed, the motivation disappeared, and all I wanted to do was sit on the sofa and watch *A Town Called Eureka*.

If you've never watched it, it's a brilliant sci-fi comedy series that I hadn't seen for years. It turned out to be exactly the kind of switch-off my brain needed.

People often imagine startup founders are endlessly productive, but the reality is very different.

When you're building your own business, it's easy to work far more hours than you ever did in a normal job. You pour so much energy into solving problems, writing code, fixing bugs, planning marketing, supporting customers and thinking about the future that eventually your brain simply says...

*"That's enough for today."*

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is recharge.

The Heat Hasn't Helped

Like many people across the UK, we've had our fair share of hot weather recently.

For me, the heat can really slow things down. It's not the sunshine itself—it's the heavy air and lack of fresh air that seem to turn my brain into marshmallow.

Concentrating becomes harder, development slows down, and everything takes longer than it should.

To make matters worse, I've also been getting more migraines recently. I've counted three over the last month, which is more than I remember having this time last year. When one hits, the medication usually helps, but it also wipes me out for several hours afterwards.

Some days you simply have to accept that your body has different plans.

So... What's Changed?

Although we've been quieter publicly, quite a lot has happened behind the scenes.

A refreshed website

We've continued improving business.astriii.com, making information easier to understand and simplifying the way businesses discover what ASTRIII offers.

Our pricing pages have also been reorganised so they're much clearer.

New Help Guides

One of the biggest additions is our new Guides section.

Every week we'll be adding practical guides designed to help businesses get started with ASTRIII, understand the platform, and make the most of its features.

It'll take time to build into a comprehensive knowledge base, but this is just the beginning.

Dedicated Package Pages

Each of our packages now has its own dedicated landing page.

These will continue to grow with screenshots, FAQs, interactive demonstrations and walkthroughs so you can explore exactly what each package includes before signing up.

A Simpler Workspace

We've also spent time simplifying the ASTRIII Workspace.

Some features have been temporarily hidden while we continue refining them behind the scenes. We'd rather present a cleaner, easier experience than overwhelm people with tools that aren't quite ready yet.

As new modules mature, they'll gradually return to the workspace.

Building ASTRIII Is a Marathon

One thing I've learned over the last few years is that building a platform isn't about sprinting every single day.

It's about making steady progress, listening to feedback, improving little by little, and making sure the foundations are strong enough to support what's coming next.

Sometimes that means shipping exciting new features.

Sometimes it means spending days making something simpler.

And sometimes...

It means admitting your brain has had enough, putting the laptop away, and watching a few episodes of *A Town Called Eureka*.

Thank you to everyone who's continued supporting ASTRIII while we've been quietly working in the background.

There's plenty more to come over the next few weeks, and I can't wait to share it with you.
